MVO Elevation example

MODEL VIEW OPTIONS:

Ability to control plan and elevation appearance of doors and windows using Model View Options (MVO) for Markers, Opening Lines, and Headers.

 Doors and windows can have individual settings or be set by MVO. Multiple MVOs tied to Views allows automatic creation of presentation and construction document views without adding or changing layers.
Plan with Arch MVOPlan with Structural MVOMVO dialog box Headers Header MVOs designate line type, pen, and length of bearing. Framing plans are more automatic, with headers changing length with opening size, and staying with the opening when moved.

New Features for Version 2.8:

WINDOW & DOOR TRIM OPTIONS:

Options for removing trim from top of doors and top & bottom of windows so individual units can be stacked, maintaining correct counts for schedules.

DOOR NOMINAL SIZE OPTION:

Option to include frame width in nominal door size for accurate use of pre-hung doors from major US manufacturers.

LISTING OPTIONS:

All objects, doors and windows have text type parameters for adding Item Name, Manufacturer, Model Number, Remarks and Price to schedules.

FILE TYPE:

All parts are the new ArchiCAD 8.0 object file type with appropriate subtype to take advantage of ArchiCAD's new object library structure.

Doors and Windows have an additional parameter for 3D pen so object can have one pen color in plan, another in the 3D window.

INTEGRATED SYMBOLS & SCHEDULE:

The Window or Door ID can be automatically shown in plan, elevation and is used to generate the schedule, allowing easy coordination of drawings and schedules.

EASY TO USE SCHEDULE TEMPLATES:

All items in the Door and Window Schedules are taken directly from the library part parameters. Included manual has step-by step instructions for enabling and using these templates that were created specifically for the Residential Library.

3D WINDOW AIDS:

Objects can be stretched vertically, contain upper and lower hotspots for easy manipulation and selection in the 3D window.

POP-UP LISTS:

Use pop-up lists to select door styles, faucet types and other options in the Parameters list.
