New & Existing
Working within tight setbacks, this two story addition is a balance of three elements: the original brick house, the split-face block addition, and the metal roof porch which binds the masonry elements together. The porch roof extends to shield the South facing Studio windows. |

The Studio steps down to produce a 10 foot ceiling height.
The tall South and East facing windows flood the space with light. |

| On the second floor, the square windows on the front tie the existing house to the addition.
The new expanded kitchen adds a curved breakfast bar that connects to the studio, allowing guests to flow through all the spaces of the ground floor.
The large Master Bedroom windows face East to the morning sun, while the arc ceiling embraces the bed. White walls with color accents gives each space an individual touch. |
