We converted the existing attic of this split-level home into a Quilting Room by adding a large octagonal dormer. Large casement windows and a cathedral ceiling give a great sense of light and space to an area measuring 12 feet across. A deck echoing the octagonal form was added below, with doors leading from the Dining Room. The owners found this new space reminiscent of their 1800's mid-west farm house.
